1. Generator - The generator is responsible for changing standard electrical power into electrical energy at a predetermined frequency. The most common frequencies used in manufacturing are 20Khz and 40Khz.
2. Transducer or Converter - The newly created high frequency energy created by the generator is then sent through a cable to the transducer or converter, which changes the energy into vibrations.
3. Booster - The vibrations are then transmitted to the booster, where the intensity of the vibrations are increased or decreased depending on the specific application.
4. Horn - A titanium or plated aluminum conductor where in the vibrations from the booster are transferred and applied to the plastic being welded.
