By definition ultrasonic plastic assembly is the process in which thermoplastics are joined through the use of heat generated from electricity. This process is accomplished by converting electrical energy into vibrations, thus creating friction or heat. When these vibrations are applied to a plastic piece, or the joint of two pieces, the heat melts the plastic parts, which in turn forms a bond at the between the parts at the molecular level.
